Ted's Take:
Opened in 1945, Nick's is the epitome of a "local joint". It's clean, the beer is cold and the burgers are HUGE!! I'm talking 16 ounces of 80/20 beef mixed with pureed onions, slapped on the grill and cooked with your choice of cheese, grilled onions or whatever else you may like on it.
It's tasty and while it sounds daunting due to the size, I didn't have any trouble finishing mine.
Well, I had to take a nap afterward, but it was worth it.
Don and the whole staff are great people. It's a true taste of Lemont and what the south 'burbs are all about
